Passport:

Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank pages for visa stamps.

• Copy of the first page and last page of the passport

Please note:

• Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the Embassy
• Attach all your old passports (if any)
• Handwritten passports are not accepted.
• Indian passports with any “observation” will not be accepted.

Schengen Visa Application Form:

One visa application form (printed back to back) duly filled and signed on column 37 and 38 Please note : Applicant mobile number should be mentioned in visa form as Embassy / Consulate can contact the applicant at any point of time during visa processing

Photo Specification:

Two recent passport size coloured photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm)

Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas

Covering Letter:

Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number,purpose and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – The Visa Officer,Embassy of Italy, New Delhi.

Please Note :

• Covering Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed.
• The letter has to to be provided by each applicant incase travelling alone,with family or in a group.

Financials:

• Personal ITR for last 3 years / Form 16A.
• Original Bank Statement for last six months mentioning the applicant’s name and address along with Bank’s name, Bank’s address, Bank seal and signature of authorized signatory.
• Salary slips for last three months
• Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement/Traveler’s Cheque

Sponsored Visit:

• Invitation letter from the sponsor in Italy (“ Lettera di invit o”).
• Photocopy of the pages of his/her picture id contanining relevant data, signature and validity of the document.
• Original and one photocopy of Bank Guarantee ( “fidejussione bancaria”) from sponsor in Italy covering the expenses for the duration of stay as per the foreign exchange value. The original will be returned with the passport.

Proof of Occupation:

Self Employed

• Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation / Proof of Proprietorship / Partnership Deed
• Brief Company Profile
• Articles of Memorandum (Incase the applicant is MD/Director).

Employed

• Leave letter,Copy of employee’s ID card, NOC from Employer and copy of ID card with signature of authorized signatory.

Student

• Leave Sanction Letter, Copy of School ID Card and NOC from school mentioning the dates of trip and copy of the ID card with signature of authorized signatory.

If you are under 18, you must also submit

• Application to be signed by both parents
• If travelling with one parent a No Objection Affidavit from other parents to be provided.

Proof of Accommodation:

Hotel confirmation/Gurantee of host for the entire period of stay in Schengen area. Please Note: Hotel should match the ticket dates and maximum stay should be Italy

Airline Reservation:

Ticket Itinerary and Original Tour Itinerary on the letterhead of the travel agency to be provided by each applicant incase travelling alone, with family or in a group.

Authorization Letter:

Applicant will have to submit an authorization letter authorizing PAUL MERCHANT LTD to submit and collect documents

Please Note:

• Passports will be dispatched at applicant's address at an additional cost of Rs.323
• In case no specific address is mentioned on the covering-letter/courier form, the passport will be sent to the address mentioned on the Visa Application Form.
• It is advised to mention PAUL MERCHANTS back office address on the covering-letter/courier form so that we can do a quality check post stamping of visa.

Medical:

Original Medical Insurance for the stay duration amounting to 30,000 Euros. Please Note : Insurance has to be done by the Authorized Insurance Companies

New Procedure for Schengen Visa Applications:

With immediate effect, Indian citizens travelling to Schengen countries for short-term (max 90 days in 180 days) will have to visit VFS visa application centre personally to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph). For subsequent applications within next 5 years the biometric data will be copied from the previous visa application included in the VIS.
