DAY 01: ARRIVAL HARIDWAR / DEHRADUN
Pick up from Dehradun Airport/ Haridwar Railway station and drive to Haridwar, on arrival check in to the hotel and relax. The word Haridwar is the combination of two words “Hari” means the God and “Dwar” means the gate. The literary meaning of Haridwar is the gate to Gods. The city is located at the point where the Ganges leaves the Himalayas to begin its journey across the plains, makes it a particularly holy place. Every 12 years the Kumbh holy bath festival attracts millions of pilgrims who come and bathe in the river. In the evening, attend Ganga Aarti Ceremony at Har ki Pauri Haridwar and explore nearby market. Later,
drive back to hotel. Overnight stay at Haridwar.
DAY 02: IN HARIDWAR
After leisurely breakfast, get ready to explore Haridwar. Start with Chandi devi temple by ropeway (on direct payment) located on the Neel Parvat hill in Haridwar, is a revered Shakti Peeth dedicated to Goddess Chandi. According to legend, the goddess killed the demon king Shumbha here. Followed by Daksh temple at Kankhal, dedicated to Lord Daksha, Sati's father. The temple marks the spot where Daksha performed a yagna, which Shiva and Sati disrupted.
After that visit Shanti Kunj Ashram- Ashram is a spiritual hub founded by Shri Ram Sharma Acharya, a pioneer of the Gayatri movement. This serene ashram promotes spiritual growth, yoga, and meditation, offering various courses and activities. Later in the evening, explore Har ki Pauri market or you can witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony. Overnight stay at Haridwar.
DAY 03: HARIDWAR to MUSSOORIE (85 KILOMETER / 2-3 HOURS)
After leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Mussoorie, on route take a stop at Prakasheshwar Mahadev temple on the foothills of Mussoorie, dedicated to lord Shiva and continue drive to Mussoorie. Mussoorie, located some 250 miles north of Delhi, capital of India, is among the most popular hill stations of India, and is called the Queen among the hill stations. It overlooks the sprawling Doon valley and the city of Dehradun, the gateway to Mussoorie and infact to the entire Garhwal.
Mussoorie, a hill resort at a height of around 7000 ft above the sea level, straddles a ridge in the Garhwal Himalayas - a region which is developing into a major tourism destination. Mussoorie always remained unofficial - for the affairs of heart. It has always been a gossipy place - with an air of informality and a tradition of romance - The Honeymoon capital of India. At evening walk on Mall Road. Overnight stay at Haridwar.
DAY 04: IN MUSSOORIE
After breakfast drive to sightseeing to the waterfall called Kempty falls, 15 km from Mussoorie on the Yamunotri Road at an altitude of 4500 feet. It has the distinction of being the largest and prettiest waterfall in the valley and is surrounded by high mountains. The stream flowing through a valley falls over a precipice and achieves its full intensity during the monsoons. Later, visit Gun Hill by ropeway (on direct payment), Company garden and other attractions of Mussoorie. Evening time at leisure and free for your own activities. Overnight stay at Mussoorie.
DAY 05: MUSSOORIE to RISHIKESH (70 KILOMETER / 2 HOURS)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Rishikesh, on arrival check in to the hotel and relax. Rishikesh - at a height of about 1360 feet above sea level, Rishikesh is nestled affectionally by lower Himalayan range and silvery flow of river Ganga. The town is a major centre of spirituality and Hindu pilgrimage. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganges here in Rishikesh. Since ages, Yogi’s & Sadhus lived and practiced Hinduism here.
This small hill town got an introduction with the western world in late 60’s when The Beatles came here to learn transcendental meditation and stayed at an Ashram. Later, Visit famous places like Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. In the evening witness the peaceful Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
DAY 06: DEPARTURE
At an appropriate time, check out from the hotel and drive to Dehradun Airport/ Haridwar Railway station to catch your flight/ Train.
