South India which differs radically from rest of India includes major states in peninsular India and the two island groups of Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar. It is rich with history ranging from large empires contributing to major monuments, to Hindu temples along with the influence of Portuguese - Dutch and other European powers as it was the trade and war base. Today, South India is one of the major economic powerhouse for the nation. In this tour, we cover the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka & Goa. Experience the Dravidian architecture, visit the busiest active pilgrimage sites like Tirupati and Madurai, take a dip and enjoy the water sports at the beaches, enjoy the world class experience at the Kerala Backwaters Houseboat or go hiking in the Nilgiri trails - South India has a lot to offer to travelers of all kinds.

Day Wise Schedule

Day 1

CHENNAI/MADRAS ARRIVAL You will be greeted on your arrival at Madras, Capital of Chennai. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Chennai (Madras).

Day 2
MAHABALIPURAM & KANCHIPURAM DAY TOUR Check-out and proceed for Kanchipuram (64 kms from Chennai (Madras) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. Temples of Ekambareswarar, Sri Kamakshi, Kailasanatha and Varadarajaswamy will spellbind you with its beauty and history. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. Mahabalipuram city is famous for the seven pagodas or pillars. Evening transfer to rail-station for Trichy night train. Night on board.
Day 3
ARRIVE TRICHY Morning arrive Trichy and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour. Trichy was the fortress of the Chola dynasty (medieval period). It has also witnessed the Carnatic wars (18th Century) fought between the French and the English. Lord Robert Clive's house, the Danish Church and the temples on the Fort are the main attraction. Overnight at Trichy.
Day 4
MADURAI Drive to Madurai visiting Tanjore enroute. Experience the grand Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara. The bronze and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the attraction of a visit to South India. Overnight at Madurai.
Day 5
MADURAI Morning visit the grand Meenakshi Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Later, proceed to Tirumala Nayak Palace : an Indo saracenic style building, known for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Continue the tour with visit to the Alagar Hills and Thiruparankundram Rock temple. Free for evening to explore on your own. Overnight at Madurai.
Day 6
PERIYAR Morning drive to Periyar sanctuary to be set up in 1934, it extends to 777 square kms & forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. Catch a glimpse of Wild life while on a motor boat ride on Periyar Lake. Overnight at Periyar.
Day 7
COCHIN Morning drive to Cochin. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 8
COCHIN Morning tour of Cochin (Natural harbor of the South) Vasco-de-Gama placed it on the world map is famous fora Jewish synagogue, mosques & Hindu temples along with Portuguese churches. You can view the fishermen engaged in their daily work- Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening free. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 9
BANGALORE Morning transfer to airport for Bangalore flight. Arrive & drive directly to Mysore. Overnight at Mysore.
Day 10
MYSORE Morning tour of Mysore including the famous places like Palace of the Maharaja, the Art Gallery. See the Chamundeshwari Temple & panoramic view of Mysore while driving upto Chamundi hill. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Afternoon free. Overnight at Mysore.
Day 11
BELUR - HALEBID Full day tour of Belur and Halebid. We start with The Chenna Kesava temple of Belur (almost a millennium old). Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples in Halebid's are 12th century master pieces of Hindu art. On the way also visit Shravanabelagola. Visit the statue of Lord Gomteshwara at Shravanabelagola, hewn out of a single rock and which is bathed with honey and milk once every 12 years.
Day 12
HOSPET - HAMPI Morning drive to Hospet. Visit Hampi (Greater than Rome) which was once a beautiful capital city of Vijayanagar Empire. Some of the interesting ruins attract all kinds of tourists.
Day 13
BADAMI Morning drive to Badami while stopping at Aihole & Pattadakal enroute. Aihole, the southern Dravida Schools best example of temple architecture. Also view the oldest temple, Lad Khan (5th century A.D). There are 70 temples in this group. Each famous for its own traits.
Day 14
BADAMI Morning tour of Badami (Vatapi) which is rich with Hindu and Jain temples (6th Century) carved out of sand stone hills- solid rock. On top of the hill sits The Fort which has large granaries, treasury & a majestic watch tower. The Malegitti Shivalaya temple set on the summit of a hill is built of stones without mortar.
Day 15
GOA Morning drive to Goa. Goa hotels are not included in the package as cost varies seasonally. Please choose the type/budget of hotels you need and we will quote accordingly. Relax
Day 16
GOA Morning after breakfast get ready for a full day city tour of North Goa. We will touch all major attraction to visit. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 17
GOA Morning after breakfast get ready for a full day city tour of South Goa. We will cover all the major attractions and places to visit in South Goa. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 18
FLIGHT FOR BOMBAY Catch a flight for Bombay / Onwards journey.

Notes:
  • In case of any unprecedented hike in airfare, hotel charges or other service charges, the same will be levied extra.
  • Tour can be canceled or postponed due to natural calamities or any political issues.
  • No Show Guest would not be given any refund nor would their tours rescheduled.
  • SIC means Seat In Coach Basis. The driver would communicate with the Guests if there is a change in the assigned pick up
  • If the Guest fails to reach the designated place within the time arranged, there will be no replacement given and the arrangement needs to be made on your own.
  • The Guide will be available only for some specific tours/excursions.
  • If there is any change in flights by airline then tours and Transfers rescheduling will not be done.

  • It is entirely your responsibility to arrange, provide and carry on tour valid travel documents including Passport, which is valid for a period of at least six months from the date of travel on the tour with necessary Visa/s and immigration clearance (if applicable), confirmed air tickets, documents confirming insurance to cover risk to life, limb and property for the duration of the tour, medical clearances, inoculation/vaccination certificates as the case may be to be able to travel as per the tour itinerary.
  • Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in surface transportation and land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure. The tour price is subject to increase without notice if this rate changes substantially prior to departure.
  • It is entirely your responsibility to check the Service Voucher(s) / Tickets / Visas / Insurance Policies carefully and to let the Company know immediately in the event of any error.
  • Itinerary may be changed by tour manager while execution of the tour hence do not fix your own program at all as the itinerary is subject to change.
  • As granting or rejecting visas and immigration clearance is the sole prerogative of the concerned sovereign Government, the Company shall neither be responsible in case of nongranting of such documents nor liable for any delay, denial or other related act or for any loss, expense, damage or cost resulting therefrom.
  • In case, your visa is applied through us and is rejected before 30 days of travel: Visa Fee is non Refundable, the booking amount of 25% will be refunded back. Less than 30 Days travel: 25% of the booking amount will be charged.
