Shillong, capital of scenic Meghalaya, in northeast India, is aptly known as "Scotland of the East" as the rolling hills, and lush landscapes reminded European settlers of Scotland. You can breathe in the mystic and musical air while soaking in the beauty of the hilly terrains loaded with pine groves. We also explore Cherrapunjee and Guwahati in this Assam tour package. Cherrapunjee receives record rainfall for the longest time in a year - 8 months and due to the same, its naturally lush and full of diverse vegetation. The Khasi tribe is prominent here and highly intelligent. The Living Root Bridges which they have created is a fantastic examples of bio engineering. Guwahati is a major city in eastern India in Assam and is the gateway to the north east India. One of the fastest growing city of the world and is 5th fastest growing among Indian cities. "City of Temples"as it is often referred to as will bless you and marvel you with its vast history and ancient architecture. Guwahati is one of the most beautiful cities with the picturesque Brahmaputra, river islands, beaches, beach island, thick tropical green cover, lakes, hills and beautiful and lively native population.

Day Wise Schedule

Day 1

Shillong Arrival - Guwahati Railway Station / Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) - On arrival you will be received by our representative. He will assist you to board the vehicle for the hotel at Shillong. Check-in and visit the Umiam Lake and Butterfly Museum where you can find some of the finest and rarest species of butterflies.

Day 2

Shillong -Cherrapunjee Get ready early morning as today your, East India tour package will take you to our next destination Cherrapunjee, this is 60 kilometers and 1hour. The wettest place in the world - The beautiful waterfall Noh ka - is at Cherrapunjee. There are some famous caves in and around Cherrapunjee which you can explore. On your return to Shillong, visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some stunning views. Retire at your hotel in Shillong.

Day 3

Kamakhya Temple - Umananda Temple - Guwahati Post breakfast, leave for Guwahati, the best place to visit in Darjeeling. Visit Kamakhya Temple and try the typical Assamese meal and spend the evening shopping for local products at Fancy Bazaar or you can visit Umananda Temple which is located on Peacock Island. Stay at Guwahati hotel

Day 4

Departure Check-out post breakfast and explore the city on your own. The driver will pick you up from the hotel or the local bazaar and take you to the airport for your departure.

Notes:

In case of any unprecedented hike in airfare, hotel charges or other service charges, the same will be levied extra.
Tour can be canceled or postponed due to natural calamities or any political issues.
No Show Guest would not be given any refund nor would their tours rescheduled.
SIC means Seat In Coach Basis. The driver would communicate with the Guests if there is a change in the assigned pick up
If the Guest fails to reach the designated place within the time arranged, there will be no replacement given and the arrangement needs to be made on your own.
The Guide will be available only for some specific tours/excursions.
If there is any change in flights by airline then tours and Transfers rescheduling will not be done.

After booking Confirmation Rs. 1000/- per person per Amendment Charges.
Room type Twin or Double is at the sole discretion of Hotels. Hotels allocate the rooms on Run of The House basis.
It is entirely your responsibility to arrange, provide and carry on tour valid travel documents including Passport, which is valid for a period of at least six months from the date of travel on the tour with necessary Visa/s and immigration clearance (if applicable), confirmed air tickets, documents confirming insurance to cover risk to life, limb and property for the duration of the tour, medical clearances, inoculation/vaccination certificates as the case may be to be able to travel as per the tour itinerary.
Any increase in the rate of exchange leading to an increase in surface transportation and land arrangements which may come into effect prior to departure. The tour price is subject to increase without notice if this rate changes substantially prior to departure.
It is entirely your responsibility to check the Service Voucher(s) / Tickets / Visas / Insurance Policies carefully and to let the Company know immediately in the event of any error.
Itinerary may be changed by tour manager while execution of the tour hence do not fix your own program at all as the itinerary is subject to change.
As granting or rejecting visas and immigration clearance is the sole prerogative of the concerned sovereign Government, the Company shall neither be responsible in case of nongranting of such documents nor liable for any delay, denial or other related act or for any loss, expense, damage or cost resulting therefrom.
In case, your visa is applied through us and is rejected before 30 days of travel: Visa Fee is non Refundable, the booking amount of 25% will be refunded back. Less than 30 Days travel: 25% of the booking amount will be charged.
