Air India

It has been brought to our notice that certain passengers, generally travelling in groups have been deported back from Gulf countries as they did not have valid visas to enter the country or onward / return tickets.

It has been observed that these passengers present separate ticket for onward or return journey at the time of check-in without a valid visa that entities them to enter that country. The return/onward tickets are cancelled/refunded/voided by the Travel agents soon after the departure of these passengers from India. Due to this the passengers arrive at the destination without valid visa for entry in that country or ticket for the return/onward journey.

It has therefore decided that passengers separate tickets for onward return journeys should not be accepted in case of Tourist/transit Visa.

Passenger can be accepted on one way ticket only travelling on Employment or Resident visa

Separate tickets for such travel should not be issued. If any such case comes to Light, immediate action will be taken against the erring travel agent.
